Girl, 9, dialled 999 after finding her mum and dad dead from drugs overdose.

A paramedic has told of the heartbreaking moment a young girl dialled 999 after waking to find her parents dead from an accidental drugs overdose.

The devastated nine-year-old led the emergency worker to the bodies of John Worton, 37, and Suzanne Van Hagen, 34, after telling an operator ‘‘blood was coming out of her dad’s mouth’’.

The couple were discovered in separate rooms in the property in Frankley, Birmingham on February 8 last year.
