The couple, who refused to reveal their surnames, spent their lives trying to find their respective mothers, who were both called Maria, and had both abandoned their children when they were still babies.

Chris Soteriou a wealthy engineer was in a coma for 10 days  following the attack in Melbourne , which was orchestrated by his wife of 18 years, Vicky Soterious.

Vicky, who is  currently serving nine years in jail, had organised for her lover, Ari Dimitrakis, to stab Chris as they walked from a Greek restaurant in Fitzroy to their car 500m away after his 44th birthday party.

Vicky had been seeing her lover, Ari Dimitrakis in hotels, sending him erotic notes and even tattooed his initials on her wedding ring finger and in the hair line of the back of her neck.

Germany is the penis enlargement capital of the world, official figures reveal.

More men underwent surgery to boost their penis size than in any other country in the world in 2013, according to figures from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

In total, 2,786 men had penoplasty operations in Germany last year.

The ISAPS said there were 15,414 penis enlargement operations performed worldwide last year. It means nearly one in five of those having surgery did so in Germany.

A paramedic has told of the heartbreaking moment a young girl dialled 999 after waking to find her parents dead from an accidental drugs overdose.

The devastated nine-year-old led the emergency worker to the bodies of John Worton, 37, and Suzanne Van Hagen, 34, after telling an operator ‘‘blood was coming out of her dad’s mouth’’.

The couple were discovered in separate rooms in the property in Frankley, Birmingham on February 8 last year.
