Quantity Surveyor- Cambridgeshire
The Opportunity
Recognised regional contractor has an urgent requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of construction projects in their trading area of Cambridgeshire.

Our client has a strong order book this year and is one of the largest privately owned contractors in the UK. They are currently operating across a range of sectors that include education, healthcare, leisure & retail, fit out, and mixed use schemes, in the main under D&B JCT contracts.


The successful candidates will take responsibility for measurement and pricing of construction work, the procurement and management of sub-contractors, negotiation and agreement of final accounts.

The successful candidate will also be performing risk and value management and cost control, understanding the implications of health and safety regulations and identifying potential overspend to ensure early awareness of the exposure to keep the cost overrun to a minimum.

The Key Requirements

·Minimum 5 years experience as Quantity Surveyor for recognised contractors

·Experience working on projects to £5m as Quantity Surveyor

·Strong IT skills: Proficient user of Microsoft Packages, Surveying software experience would be an advantage

·Demonstrate good profit on previous projects 

·Qualifications: BSc in a relevant degree or HND/HNC

·Previous Roles: Project Surveyor OR Senior Project Surveyor OR Intermediate QS

The Money

£30k-£50k plus a highly competitive benefits package.
