Two Islamic courts in Bauchi, northern Nigeria have been forced to suspend the trials of 10 men accused of homosexuality because of fears of mob violence, judges and officials have said.

An angry crowd last week pelted stones at seven men suspected of breaking Islamic law banning homosexuality after their hearing was adjourned at the Unguwar Jaki Upper Sharia Court in Bauchi.

Police were forced to use teargas and fire shots in the air to disperse the mob, who were demanding summary trial and execution for the defendants.

The seven had been due to reappear before the same court on Tuesday.

But registrar Isa Bununu told AFP: “We can’t continue with the trial in view of the security breach we had during the last court session.

Thomas Blige, 63, confronted his ex-lover, but instead of replying him, stabbed him three times including one on his neck.

Namibian born Dillish Mathews is currently in Nigeria and on set of a new movie with actress Ifeoma Okeke. DIllish took to her Facebook page to make the announcement.

Gang leader says he got N45m from Lagos Airport robbery.

A robbery gang leader, Samuel Mayegun, also known as Asiwaju, has allegedly confessed to the police that he got a share of N45 million from the Lagos Airport robbery attack that took place in February last year.

Mayegun allegedly made the confession after the Lagos State Police Command arrested him and four other suspects recently follwing the robbery attack at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, southern Nigeria.

What ignited your passion for music?

I just found myself doing music. I have this uncle who is a gospel rapper. I was inspired by him. I approached him for counsel and he thought me the basics of doing music.

How has your theatre Arts background empowered your music?

It has really helped me to be able to showcase my artistic side. There was this course I did back in the university that focused on drama and music. It was one of my favourite courses. Now, when I am shooting a music video the theatre and dance part of what I learnt in school comes to play .I learnt how to make acting reality , and reality become acting. It has really empowered me in every aspect of showbiz.

Peter and Paul Okoye are reportedly having their white wedding this year in April to be specific , the wedding is set to take place in Dubai.According to reports if things go according to their plan the Okoye brothers would walk down the aisle with their Fiancee, in April and reports indicate the wedding is going to take place in Dubai. No particular date has being set for the white wedding, but if no changes are made by the couples the wedding would definitely take place in Dubai. A big congrats to them!

As people around the world partied their way into the new year, a mother, Mrs Yaleni, gave birth to baby of 2013 and the first baby of 2014. How lovely! Although they were given birth to just minutes apart, the twin babies entered the world in two different years.

The new music video was shot today somewhere in Ikeja for one of her songs titled 'Naija Bad Girl'. She's practically naked in some scenes in this video.
