A teenager has killed herself after Brazil's humiliating defeat against Germany.
Pragya Thapa, 15, was found hanged in her room at her home the village of Bharaul, 250 miles east of Katmandu, yesterday morning following the 7-1 match.
Her mother made the grim discovery at the house she shared with her parents and grandparents.
Her father is currently working abroad and police are investigating.
Sharad Thapa, a Nepal Police inspector, said: "She was anxious to see Brazil in the final, but it went down to Germany.
"Some of her friends started teasing her for supporting Brazil.
"Later in the morning, she took an extreme measure by hanging herself in her own room."
